Second Round commences todaySix schools have progressed into the second round of the GBTI Impromptu Speech rivalry,Jordy Nelson Packers Jersey, which commences today.Round two rivalries will involve Queen’s College,Kevin Faulk Patriots Jersey, Mae’s Secondary,Grady Jarrett Falcons Jersey, St. Stanislaus College,Joe Gilliam Steelers Jersey, St. Rose’s High,Steve Grogan Patriots Jersey, St. Joseph High and Annandale Secondary.The competition began on October 23 with 22 schools.On October 30,Carnell Lake Steelers Jersey, Covent Garden Secondary won against Christ Church Secondary School with 419 points. The Best Speaker was Saleema Hakh,Patrick Chung Patriots Jersey, who presented on the topic “How I would promote tourism in Guyana”.Saif Panday, of St. Rose’s High School,Jerome Bettis Steelers Jersey, was the Best Speaker in the clash against Diamond Secondary.The following day,Eddie Lacy Packers Jersey, St. Stanislaus College won with 642 points against Cummings Lodge Secondary who gained 515 points. The best speaker was Daryll Goodchild who presented on the topic “Tattoos and body piercing should be prohibited”.On November 1, St. Rose’s High won with 641 points against Diamond Secondary. The best speaker was Saif Panday who presented on the topic “If I want to impress someone I would tell them about my…”The competition originated from the GBTI Region Three branch in 2007. It has now grown into a national contest. |
