Yet another matter of forged documents arising from GDF applications ended up in court yesterday.Gavin Stuart, 20, and Delroy James, also 20,Cheap Jerseys NFL, appeared before Magistrate Priya Beharry on charges of forgery and uttering a forged document.It is alleged that Stuart and James, with the intent to defraud, each forged a Caribbean Secondary Examinations Council (CSEC) certificate and submitted them to the Guyana Defence Force as legitimate documents.They were also charged for uttering to Glennis Joseph, a member of the Guyana Defence Force, a forged Caribbean Secondary Examinations Council certificate knowing them to be forged. Both defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges before them.At the time that the allegations were raised the two were trainee cadet officers in the Guyana Defence Force.Attorney-at-Law Rexford Jackson appeared for both the accused. Jackson informed the court that Stuart had an impressive academic background and that this was his first ever appearance in court. He asked that Magistrate Beharry take into consideration the ages of his clients, and asked for a reasonable bail for the two.Not so long ago, on July 22, another young man, 21-year-old Ganesh Singh appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson to face the same charges. He too pleaded not guilty.Stuart and James were each placed on $150,000 bail, and are to return to court on September 24. |
