The lawyer also noted that Ketwaroo had not wasted precious judicial time and that he has shown deep remorse for his actions.Todd said that his client was deeply in love with his spouse but their relationship was one with many problems.According to the lawyer, Ketwaroo was in a very drunken state on the night of the incident and had little recollection of what transpired. They had all claimed that she was subjected to numerous beatings at the hands of her partner.A sister of the victim had related that the suspect was hugging the body when she and others arrived at the scene. The woman was lying face down and motionless in a pool of blood. A long, bloodstained knife was nearby.
