The two women and a taxi driver who were caught after they went on a shoplifting spree in Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, on Tuesday,Drew Kaser Chargers Jersey, appeared at the Albion Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Fabio Azore and were granted bail in the sum of $200,000 each.The trio Denise Hillman called Denise King and Joy, 43,Kellen Clemens Chargers Jersey, of Sophia,Josh Huff Eagles Jersey, Georgetown;  Brenda Mentore, 57,JaWuan James Dolphins Jersey, of 32 Line Top, Buxton, East Coast Demerara, and taxi driver James Mc Kenzie, called ‘Nose’, 47, of Kitty, Georgetown were charged with three counts of simple larceny and two counts of larceny from the person.The trio is accused of stealing from Imran Hamid, proprietor of Imran and Sons and Daughter General Store, nine sets of bed sheets on Saturday December 17.  They are also accused of stealing two jerseys,Vinny Curry Eagles Jersey, three checkered pants and six short pants from Nandalall Chaterpaul, of Alim Shaw General Store, in addition to stealing three buckets of soap power,Brandon Brooks Eagles Jersey, property of H. Sookram of Sookram General Store.They are also accused of stealing from Malika Benjamin, one cell phone and another from Tano Devi Alli. The women had given different addresses. Hillman had also given police the name Denise King, when she was charged previouslyProsecutor, Corporal Roberto Figueira asked that bail be refused. He also submitted that the offenders are not from Berbice and if given bail, there is the likelihood that they will not return for their trial.He further submitted that they are known offenders and were charged for similar offences on several occasions before at New Amsterdam,Allen Barbre Eagles Jersey, Springlands and other courts.  Figueira said that while the accused were out on bail for previous offences,Dexter McCoil Chargers Jersey, they never returned for their trials and he is concerned that there may be a recurrence.In his bail application, attorney at law Robindranauth Singh asked that bail be granted to his clients, since the matters are all bailable offences.  He stated that he has his clients’ assurances that they will return for their trials.The two women were caught on Camera shoplifting from the Imran and Sons General Store in Rose Hall Town. That was after they had already raided a number of other business premises in the town.The women who wore long skirts would collect the items and hide them under their skirts, exit the stores and deposit the items in a waiting car PNN 4147, a brown Toyota Carina, before returning to pilfer more goods.The women were caught after an alarm was raised and they were exiting another store with more stolen goods.They were held and escorted to the Rose Hall Town Police station. He was nabbed some five miles away at a police road block on the No19 Public Road.They accused will have to return to court on January 31.
