Promising theatre costume managers and designers enlisted in the Carifesta technical theatre training programme will be able to take their skills to a higher standard with the recent training provided by Trinidad and Tobago costume designer Carlyne Pereira-Lacaille.Ms Pereira-Lacaille, who put her decade-old theatre costuming experience to work,Jimmy Butler Bulls Swingman Jersey, conducted sessions last weekend and earlier this week, exposing about 87 participants to elements such as conceptualisation,Paul Millsap Hawks Swingman Jersey, working within budgets,Clyde Drexler USA Jersey, meeting deadlines,Dwight Howard Hawks Jersey, and the use of substitute materials.Explaining the importance of budgeting and creativity, Ms Pereira-Lacaille said that a designer may have a concept of what they want the costume to look like, but may have a limited budget; but this should in no way inhibit their design.She added that the use of alternative materials can be employed,Russell Westbrook Thunder Swingman Jersey, as “this in fact is where creativity comes out.”The trainees,Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Pistons Jersey, as part of the practical aspect of the Theatre Training Programme,LeBron James Cavaliers Jersey, will be staging four productions today and tomorrow at the National Cultural Centre.
