A mobile MMC Security Service patrol also pursued the men, but the driver lost control causing that vehicle to overturn.Police fired warning shots at the men, who stopped the vehicle they were travelling in. When the police searched the vehicle the illicit drug was found in a bag on the floor next to where Sadloo was sitting. He elected to give an unsworn testimony and denied ownership of the drug. Hunt argued that all elements of the offence were proven, after relying on evidence given by police officers. Hunt pointed out that the prosecution’s evidence was never challenged by the defence.The prosecutor asked the court to rely on the oral statement Sadloo made at the time police busted him with the prohibited substance.At the conclusion of the prosecutor’s submission, the Magistrate adjourned the court for a short while to make her decision. The Magistrate told the court that after revision of the evidence throughout the trial, she was satisfied that Sadloo had knowledge of the drug.
