She said villagers will now be able to connect with their families and friends in Guyana and around the world, and open up Santa Rosa for the whole world to see.Meanwhile, Digicel has committed to contributing support towards the marketing efforts for two women’s empowerment groups in Santa Rosa. The two craft groups create craftwork using materials indigenous to the North West District. These are usually sold outside of Santa Rosa, but marketing of the products remains a big challenge. Digicel’s support is geared at assisting the women in overcoming these challenges.The launch of the Santa Rosa site represents an expansion of Digicel’s service in the North West District.
