A 23-year-old man died yesterday while receiving treatment at the Diamond Diagnostic Centre after he was involved in an accident on the East Bank Demerara Public Road.The dead man has been identified as Doran Keith James of Adventure,Bryan Bickell Jersey, Soesdyke/Linden Highway. The accident occurred at Diamond around 11:00 hours.According to reports,Troy Brouwer Jersey, James,Vince Dunn Jersey, Ragnauth Mohabir and Mahendra Lall,Sean Monahan Team North America Jersey, were in a car (PHH 2326) heading to a farm on the highway at the time. Lall was the driving the vehicle,Patrick Sharp Jersey, while Mohabir was in the front passenger seat and James was in the back seat.The car in which Doran James and his two friends were travelling.This publication was told that the survivors claimed that while negotiating a turn in the vicinity of the high bridge at Diamond,Artem Anisimov Jersey, a truck drove into their path forcing them to swerve to avoid a collision. However the car ended up crashing into the rails of the bridge.The left rear side of the car where James was sitting was smashed in. James and the two other occupants of the car were rushed to the hospital where James succumbed while being treated for injuries to his arm and a puncture wound to his abdomen. The other two were being treated at the same institution up to press time yesterday.Investigations are ongoing.
