More than 400 children from the Tiger Bay area were the recipients of stationery packs and food supplies following an initiative by the Giftland Office Max, which joined with the Guyana Red Cross and Mr. Ryan Singh of the Escape Café EBD.The event had its genesis on June 19, last, when the Human Resources Office of Giftland Office Max, Jade Beepat, organised a talent night at the Shangri-La Resort, Montrose East Coast Demerara. Because of the dishonest acts by groups, some legitimate persons were unable to access gifts.Nevertheless, Ms Jade Beepat felt that the activity was successful and managed to achieve its objective. She said that her company was extremely delighted to have been able to contribute to the welfare of the children of the Tiger Bay community.Ms Beepat affirmed that because of the success of the activity the organisers have assented to a yearly function of this nature.
