We want to work with you,” she said, adding that she was proud to see six Chinese Company Chief Executive Officers present at the engagement.She hailed it as a positive sign and something that all parties should build on.Broomes said that the CEOs should sit with their management teams and educate them about the labour laws. She added that there is need for more “in-house work” to be done in these companies. “They need to observe the laws,” she said, adding: “While the government embraces the Chinese companies, employees’ rights must be adhered to. The law is a must and I want to make that very clear. We cannot flex that part of it.”“The Chinese will come here and work, raise their families and respect the law and the rights of the people of Guyana.
