Extension Officers from the Department of Agriculture are visiting communities to deal with any situation which may arise as a consequence of the flooding.On Saturday, Mr. Mustapha and his team met with representatives of the Guyana Sugar Corporation, Regional Health Authority, Neighbourhood Democratic Councils, Municipalities, the Water Users’ Association and other stakeholders to discuss the situation. “Everyone was placed on high alert. We will be having a follow-up meeting on Wednesday.”On Boxing Day, Minister of Agriculture, Robert Persaud, visited East Berbice to inspect the situation.
