– Mother drowns in Lamaha conservancy Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 36 year-old ‘E’ Field Sophia woman whose body was pulled from the Lamaha Canal known as the ‘Black’.Reports are that the woman who has since been identified as Natasha Glen of 1277 ‘E’ Field Cummings Park was pulled from the canal by public spirited citizens,Blank Dortmund Shirts, sometime around 17:00 hours yesterday.One of the woman’s three children,Blank Manchester Jersey, Rotella Smith said that earlier in the day her mother indicated that she will be going to the ‘Blacka’ with her friend ‘Lisa’ for a swim.“She said she,Kevin Strootman Jersey, Lisa,Andre Schurrle Jersey, and a boy going and swim and if Lisa decide not to go anymore that she will just stay home and bathe.”The teen said that her mother’s friend just related to her that her mother had drowned in the ‘Blacka’.“She just tell me that mommy dead so I call back and ask she wha really happen but all she say is that mommy dead.”Kaieteur News was told that it was customary for Glen to go to the location to fetch water and swim.“When they go to the ‘Blacka’ she does walk with two big bottles to float with.”Another relative related that the friend was seen returning to Glen’s house with the two jugs and simply related the news of her death to them. The police took the woman’s remains to the Lyken Funeral home. However,Javier Mascherano Jersey, what was strange for the woman’s relatives was the fact that her face appeared to be disfigured and bleeding. Some speculated that fishes had begun to attack the corpse.The victim’s female friend is being questioned by police. No one could provide information about the whereabouts of the man who accompanied the two women. |
