David “Convic” Lynch and Rayborn “Max” Marvey yesterday appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court each charged with Break and Enter and Larceny.The duo pleaded not guilty to the charges which stated that between October 5 and October 6, last, they broke into Central Electronics Store on Robb Street and stole a quantity of items valued in excess of $9M, property of Chet Singh, proprietor of the store.These include tools valued $37,168, US$13,000 in cash, one flat screen television valued at $200,000 and one metal safe with documents, valued at $200,000.According to the report given by police prosecutor Bharat Mangru, on October 5 at about 17:30hrs Singh secured his store and left the premises.The court heard that upon Singh’s return to his 67 Robb Street business on October 7 at about 7:20hrs, he discovered that the eastern doors of the ground and first floors of the building were broken. Prosecutor Mangru told the court that upon checking the premises, Singh discovered that the items were missing.The court heard that the close circuit television system at the store revealed that during the evening of October 6, a white motor car with  licence plate number PEE6716 stopped in front of the said store.Mangru further told the court that the security video revealed that the suspects exited the car,Cheap Hockey Jerseys, broke into the store, placed the items in the car and drove away.The court was told that investigations were conducted which led to the defendants being arrested and charged.Attorney at Law Paul Fung-a-Fat who represented Lynch, as well as Marvey’s representative Attorney at Law Gordon Gilhuys applied for bail, pointing out that their clients have no prior convictions.The prosecutor however, objected to bail on account of the seriousness and prevalence of the offence. Mangru also highlighted that more charges are likely to be laid against the defendants.Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry  remanded the duo . They are scheduled to appear in court on November 8.
