Police yesterday recovered an unlicensed .32 Taurus pistol with 11 rounds from a vehicle after the occupants were involved in a crash at Strathspey, East Coast Demerara.The crashed vehicle,Johnny Bench Reds Jersey, and firearm and magazine with rounds (inset) that was found inside the vehicle.Two of the occupants, identified as Sonia Mohamed and Steve Shepherd of Linden, sustained serious injuries and were admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. A third occupant,Authentic Enes Kanter Thunder Jersey, identified as Kerwin Benjamin,Evan Engram Jersey, sustained minor injuries and was taken into police custody.There are also reports that persons who assisted the injured,John Stallworth Steelers Jersey, made off with a bag containing cash and also stole jewellery belonging to some of the victims. Some of the jewellery was reportedly recovered in a taxi driver’s car.According to reports, the occupants were heading up the East Coast Demerara at around 04.45 hrs yesterday when the driver lost control in the vicinity of Strathspey. The vehicle struck a post before ramming into a fence.“During investigations…the police recovered an unlicensed .32 Taurus pistol with 11 rounds in the motor vehicle,Brett Favre Vikings Jersey,” police said.“Two men and a woman,Olli Maatta Penguins Jersey, who were in the vehicle at the time of the accident,Luke Glendening Red Wings Jersey, received injuries and have been admitted to hospital.” |
