The Private Sector Commission (PSC) is backing moves to introduce an automatic vote counting system for elections.According to the business body, it met with the Canadian High Commissioner,Cleveland Indians Jerseys, Dr. Nicole Giles, and the Chairman of the Guyana Elections Commission, Dr. Steve Surujbally,Anthony Munoz Bengals Throwback Jersey, last week Thursday and was briefed on the potential of an Automatic Ballot Scan and Tabulation Voting System for use in both local and national elections in Guyana.“The use of such a system could enhance the accuracy of vote counts and speed up the delivery of election results,” PSC said yesterday.Expressing satisfaction with the information presented, the business association is now looking forward to the results of a preliminary assessment of the system by GECOM,Ryan McLaughlin Liverpool Jersey UK, should the proposed project find acceptance from key stakeholders.The Canadian High Commissioner also pointed out that approximately 60 paper-based,Adama Traore Barcelona Jersey, automatic ballot scan and tabulation machines would be donated to Guyana by the DELIAN project,Stanley Cup Canadiens Jersey, an independent non-profit organisation registered in Canada and the USA.
