This training was conducted by the Foundation with assistance from Ms. Lauren Johnson, a Guyanese- Canadian psychotherapist.  The activities commenced on November 30.Ms. Johnson is currently in Guyana conducting inspiring experiential works to teach targeted stakeholders practical foundational skills needed to help those in need and to help them begin the process of healing their psychological wounds.The first interactive training on mental health stigma was held in the Boardroom of Suddie Public Hospital on the Essequibo Coast. It was attended by local teachers,Ricky Vaughn Indians Jersey, police officers, members of the Region Two Working Suicide Prevention Group and hospital staff.This was followed by a one-day domestic violence workshop in Sophia, which was conducted at Love and Faith Church in collaboration with Agape Network.  There was also three days of intensive training in Georgetown for volunteers of the Foundation.Community outreaches were held in Pigeon Island,Cheap Basketball Jerseys China, East Coast Demerara, and Devonshire Castle, Essequibo Coast.  Ms. Johnson was able to conduct a session at the Queenstown Secondary School, Georgetown. The Foundation was invited to return to Devonshire Castle later this month to conduct a follow-up outreach for a larger group of residents.In addition to these activities, the Foundation has also adopted the medical ward of the Suddie Public Hospital. As part of its initial donation to the hospital, the Foundation handed over a 32-inch flat-screen television, two fans, and five large posters of Guyanese images that were donated by local photographer, Mr. James Deeges. These items were received by Dr. Ranjiv Singh on behalf of the hospital.Managing Director of the foundation,China NFL Jerseys, Mr. Anthony Autar, said that the foundation is improving its efforts in the areas of mental health and suicide prevention. According to Autar, the local needs are too urgent to sit back and proceed with business as normal.He stated that it is imperative that the people of Guyana are provided with the resources and support needed to develop resiliency to cope with various life challenges.Autar went on to say that the Guyana Foundation will continue to play its part in this endeavour.  He also extended gratitude to the many financial donors and other partners who collectively helped in making the activities a reality.The Guyana Foundation has planned a variety of programmes for the New Year.
