The two men, who were on trial for the shooting death of a fireman in 2011, were on Monday set free byHallman HunteJustice Brassington Reynolds in the New Amsterdam High Court. That was after Justice Reynolds had earlier overruled the no case submissions and called on them to lead a defence.Justice Reynolds took more than four hours to sum up the evidence to the jury which retired after 14:00 hrs. After deliberating for just over two hours the jury returned with two unanimous verdicts of not guilty of murder for both accused.  Justice Reynolds then congratulated the defence, prosecution and jury for doing their job.The men were then discharged. However Prosecutor Gildarie-Mursaline told the court that both men have outstanding matters and should be returned to the prison. Hunte has matters of attempt murder, robbery underSohan Busgitharms, wounding with intent and common assault while Busgith has a matter of armed robbery pending.When Justice Reynolds told the men that they were discharged there was some drama as they were rearrested by the Police and prison officer. It took a while for things to be sorted out with Busgith being returned to the New Amsterdam prison.
