Officials from the Ministries of Legal Affairs and Business met on Thursday withOfficials at the meeting chaired by AG, Basil Williams.representatives of the World Bank,Wholesale Authentic Jerseys, for discussions on matters surrounding Guyana’s anti-money laundering compliance and business development. Drafting and implementation of critical legislations were also discussed.Attorney General (AG) and Minister of Legal Affairs,Fernando Rodney Jersey, Basil Williams; Chief Parliamentary Counsel Cecil Dhurjon; and Solicitor General, Sita Ramlall were key members of the Legal Affairs team.They met with Alice Ouedraogo, Senior Private Sector Development Specialist at the World Bank,NFL Jerseys Cheap China, with key officials of the Ministry of Business including the Permanent Secretary, Rajdai Jagarnauth. The meeting was held at the Attorney General’s Chambers.The focus was on improving the legislative framework for Guyana’s business sector. During the discussion,Marlon Humphrey Jersey, the AG highlighted the government’s plans to fully comply with FATF’s and CFATF’s Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism legislative regime; implement cybercrime, tobacco,Artemi Panarin Jersey, whistleblowers,Deion Jones Falcons Jersey, witness protection and State Asset Recovery Unit (SARU) legislation and computerize the High Court, Commercial, Land and Deeds Registries’ systems.Additional plans include the creation of single window systems and the increase in electronic transactions.The joint team promised to review Guyana’s current legislative regime relating to the business sector and give its comments to the Attorney General’s Chambers for its improvement where necessary. |
