Ms Browne said that was the last time she saw her cousin.The woman said that a Buxton resident later claimed that he saw Johnston near Lusignan.Johnston’s uncle,Fernando Rodney Jersey, Ignatius Browne, said that other persons alleged that they saw his missing nephew in Beterverwagting.The man and some other relatives surmised that Johnston may have gotten lost because this was his first visit to Guyana in several years.According to the uncle, they were also told that two boys who saw Johnston in Beterverwagting on Friday claimed that they directed him to the East Coast Demerara public road so he could catch a bus to Buxton.He said that following that report, persons alleged that Johnston was seen in Buxton trying to purchase a drink with US currency.  Despite checks at hospitals and in various areas, they have failed to locate the elderly man.The fact that Johnston was reportedly in possession of a large sum of US currency has caused his relatives to express concern that he might have fallen into the hands of unscrupulous persons.Since his disappearance, relatives have posted fliers and have also informed the local police and the US Embassy of Mr. Johnston’s disappearance.The US Embassy has since issued a missing person bulletin.He is due to return to the US tomorrow and the relatives hope that he turns up by then.Relatives said that the missing man was wearing a white shirt,Cheap Sports Jerseys, blue jeans, a pair of black shoes and a white Kangol cap.
