However, no figure was agreed on.In handing down his decision Justice Reynolds stated that he had taken a number of factors into consideration including the accused age now and at the time of the incident and the length of time that the matter took to be completed.He told the accused that despite the favourable Probation Report, on the night in question he allowed himself to be overcome by rage and acted in a reckless manner.He also stated that the trauma and scar that the accused received will be with him for the rest of his life and must be taken into consideration.The trial was aborted on the first occasion when the men appeared before Justice Winston Patterson on an allegation for witness tampering.During that trial former policeman Bashir Kursattie, was arrested on an arrest warrant and taken to court.
