The majority of Health Sciences programmes at the University of Guyana and the Nurse’s Training Programme to name a few all require passes in Human Biology or Integrated Science which the students are unable to produce for the next academic year.The Superintendent of Examinations for CXC  had communicated to Ross through Mr. Daniels on the night of the examination that the students would be allowed to retake the examination in January of 2011 at no further cost if they so chose.Even rewriting the exam in January however might still mean that a number of them will have to delay entry to the University and their training programmes for a year since they will not be able to meet all of the entry requirements.She noted that there had been no other options available for the students outside of Human Biology since CXC does not allow Integrated Science to be written as a Private Examination – the only means by which the students of the area can presently write their CSEC exams.
