Norman Holder, charged with causing death by dangerous driving, was yesterday granted bail to the tune of $250,000 by Chief Magistrate Priya Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.The accused was not required to plea. He went on to explain that the two men were on Barr Street when the accelerator failed on the vehicle driven by Holder, hence it collided with Goorsammy. Waldron requested for his client to be released on reasonable bail. His request was met with no objection by the prosecution, thus bail was allowed.The matter will be called again on June 1.
