ALBION FRONT, CORENTYNE – The St. Mary’s Anglican Church at Albion Front on the Corentyne recently honoured 25 mothers in recognition of the role they play on a daily basis.President of the group, Romel Ayasammy, explained that the hampers given to the women were made possible with the help of Digicel and the Edward B. Beharry Group of Companies.Some of the recipients with their hampersAccording to him, this is an annual event aimed at strengthening the values of Christianity and promoting a better relationship between the Church and members of the community.The Edward B. Beharry Group of Companies gave food items while the Bigger Better Network presented backpacks.In expressing gratitude, Mr. Romel Ayasammy said both companies have been offering much needed support to his group.The St. Mary’s Anglican Church is now preparing to launch its third annual Information Technology Programme next month for persons between the ages of 12 and 50.So far 50 residents from Albion, Nigg Settlement, Number One,Wholesale Jerseys Cheap, and Fyrish Village completed the eight-week exercise, compliments of the Mark Benschop Foundation.The monthly feeding programme for children from all sections of Albion, including Guava Bush, High Reef, Sand Reef, Chesney, Doctor Bush and the Albion Squatting Area would be held on June 21st at 15:00hrs in the compound of the Church. |
