His lawyer, Adrian Thompson, in a bail application told the court that he knows the process on drug matters. Thompson said that his client was gainfully employed as a welder and he has six children to maintain.According to the lawyer, his client was visiting the house when the police came and that he had no knowledge of the drugs.However, Prosecutor Massiah gave the court a different version of events. The prosecutor said that not only was Archer in possession of the drugs, he was also the supplier.The prosecutor asked for bail to be denied and date for statements to be set.That application was granted by the Magistrate. Archer is now expected to make his second court appearance on Friday. |
