Kelon Bishop, 19, of 74 Norton Street, Lodge, was yesterday denied bail when he made his court appearance before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson.It is alleged that Bishop on October 7, last, broke and entered a stall belonging to Esther Small, and stole a quantity of cigarettes, lighters and drinks totaling some $554,540.He pleaded not guilty.The defendant said that Small’s stall is about four doors from his. He said that he was at the market when the incident occurred and therefore had no knowledge of any breakage.However, Police Prosecutor Sherwin Matthews said that defendant was seen coming out of the stall. He further told the court that Bishop used a crowbar to gain entry and he stole the items.Small then told the court that she is fearful for her life since Bishop has threatened to “kill her”. He was denied bail and is to make his next court appearance on November 7.And Gregory Noble,Cheap NHL Jerseys, 26, of Lot I D’Uurban Street was placed on $35,000 bail after he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton to answer a charge of narcotics possession.It is alleged that Noble, on October 20, had in his possession four grams of cannabis. He pleaded not guilty. He was represented by attorney at law Patrice Henry, who in a bail application said that his client is a “clothes vendor” with an unblemished record.He added that the offence was bailable. Police Prosecutor Desiree Fowler did not object to bail and Noble is expected to make his next court appearance on January 30. |
