Police say that 32-year-old Suresh Persaud had confessed to killing 40-year-old Nandranie Narine, of Back Street, Colombia, Essequibo Coast.Persaud was subsequently slapped with the indictable charge of murder and appeared before magistrate Faith Mc Gusty, Wednesday, at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court.As the charge was read to Persaud, he was cautioned by Magistrate Mc Gusty not to enter a plea to the indictable charge.The labourer who was dressed in a checkered shirt and blue jeans stood attentively in the dock as the charge was read to him.When asked by Magistrate Mc Gusty if he had secured an attorney, the accused replied in the negative.
