The car hit the motorcycle, pitching all three persons onto the road, according to Mr. McKenzie.He added that he was unconscious after the collision,Harrison Barnes Jersey, but was told by onlookers that Jones (the driver) was coerced into taking the injured child and her mother to the hospital. Mr. McKenzie noted that when he regained consciousness he was still on the road when someone told him that his family was taken to Georgetown Public Hospital.On his arrival he met with his wife and child to ensure they were both in stable conditions.He stated that the police at the hospital asked him a series of questions about the accident and inquired about Jones’ whereabouts. According to Mr. McKenzie, Jones had told the nurses that he was going back for the other injured person to bring to the hospital, but that never happened.John McKenzieMr. McKenzie investigated the accident and learnt of the name of the cab driver, because at the time his name, license plate number, and address were unknown. After he found out the license plate number to be HB4993 he realized that the owner was Carlton Hinds who had not been driving the cab that day.The cab belonged to C&J Express Taxi Service which helped locate Jones for his arrest on November 4, 2011. The man was taken to Ruimveldt Police Station. Mr. McKenzie stated that Jones was very apologetic and stated that his fear of going to prison kept him from returning to the scene.Both men discussed a settlement of $100,000. Jones was off on bail and ordered to return to court on November 12, 2011, but never showed up.As of now, there has been no contact through telephone or address with Jones. The family is calling on the authorities to locate Jones.
