Digicel yesterday announced the appointments of Gregory Dean to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Digicel Guyana, and Mark Linehan to the post of CEO of Digicel Jamaica.A release from the company said that Gregory Dean, a Guyanese, joined Digicel Guyana last year as Chief Financial Officer and has played a pivotal role in the company’s success over the last year as part of the Senior Management Team.According to the release, Digicel Group CEO, Kevin White, said the two officials are “great assets to Digicel”.“I’m confident that they will continue the tremendous work and spearhead the local management teams in our Jamaica and Guyana operations, to ensure that our customers continue to be our number one priority,” he added.Commenting on his new appointment, Digicel (Guyana) CEO Gregory Dean said, “Having worked closely with Mark over the last year, I’m looking forward to building on the success of Digicel Guyana to continue delivering a world class telecommunications service to our customers through ‘The Bigger, Better Network.’”Mark Linehan, who now assumes the role of CEO – Digicel Jamaica, has been with Digicel for over six years.In his role as CEO of Digicel Guyana, he led the business to become the market leader in mobile communications within one year of operations.Prior to Digicel Guyana, Linehan held a number of senior management positions in Digicel, where he played an instrumental role in the launch and development of Digicel operations in the OECS, Trinidad & Tobago, Haiti and French Guiana.Mark Linehan said, “It has been a wonderful experience working in Guyana over the past year,Claudio Bravo Jersey, especially with the hard working committed team that makes up Digicel.Together we were able to achieve the status of number one mobile operator.
