He will make his next court appearance on January 12.Pedro retained Mark Waldron as his attorney. The lawyer told the court that his client has been made a victim twice. He explained that on the day in question, persons attempted to rob his client’s business place located at the aforementioned address. Waldron said that several shots were fired and Pedro ran for cover. In doing so, the lawyer said that a number of drink bottles broke, resulting in his client receiving injuries to his right hand.Waldron went on to say that the defendant was taken to the hospital by the police.When asked if he had any objections to bail, Prosecutor Jones replied in the affirmative. The prosecutor informed the court that on December 4, the police responded to a report of threats being made by Pedro to Spencer. He said that about 16:00hrs on the day in question, the police approached the defendant and he fired several shots at them with a gun.Jones stated that the ranks returned fire and summoned a patrol. He related that the defendant made good his escape when the other officers arrived. On this notion, the prosecutor then stated that the defendant is not the holder of a firearm licence.The prosecutor added that Pedro was arrested on December 6 and charged with the offences. He noted that a number of spent shells were recovered from the crime scene.
