Up to press time yesterday two persons from the Enmore community were still in police custody assisting with investigation into the death of Prampattie Ramsundar.A post mortem examination performed yesterday revealed that the woman died as a result of asphyxiation due to manual strangulation. The police were immediately called in and the woman’s body was removed.A police tracker dog which was a part of the investigating team led investigators to a house not far from where Ramsundar lived. Relatives of the dead woman also claimed that the house to which the dog led investigators is occupied by a man who was always involved in confrontation with Ramsundar.Also a large amount of cash and jewellery was missing from the woman’s house. Investigations are ongoing.
