Burch-Smith said that his client was unaware that the drugs were hidden in the shoes.He asked for bail in a reasonable sum.However the prosecutor stated that no special reason was given and as such bail should be denied.The magistrate granted the prosecutor’s application and remanded the woman. She is expected to make her next court appearance on October 27.Fung-A-Fat was accused of having in her possession 129 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.She was unrepresented yesterday. The prosecutor asked for bail to be refused and a date for statements to be served.Fung-A-Fat was remanded to prison and is expected to make her court appearance on October 27.Both matters were transferred to the Bartica Magistrate’s Court.
