With the move to the New In-Patient Facility scheduled for tomorrow,Keith Magnuson Jersey, commencing with the patients of the Female Medical Ward,Cam Atkinson Jersey, the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) has made some adjustments to its rules and visitation hours for friends and family of its patients.According to the GPHC, relatives would not be permitted to take any food (or drinks) into the ward. Earlier this year,Mike Modano Jersey, an additional $235M was budgeted for its completion.This spanking new facility, which is located on Lamaha Street, between East and Thomas Streets, will accommodate approximately 300 inpatients.The Male and Female Wards among others are to be housed in this building and patients would enjoy a more comfortable environment,Tony Esposito Jersey, which is conducive for their treatment and recovery.Chief Executive Officer of the GPHC,Teuvo Teravainen Jersey, Michael Khan,Nathan MacKinnon Team North America Jersey, had previously explained that each bed in the new facility would be equipped with modern centralized monitoring devices such as gas masks and heart and blood pressure monitors.This newspaper was also told that some 65 doctors have already been identified to staff the new wing.It is also expected that this facility will significantly ease the situation of overcrowding at the current location since there have been numerous instances of patients having to share beds in congested surroundings.Meanwhile, a section of the hospital which is currently housing male patients will be dismantled.
