Carla Knights aka “Carla Bobbie”, 39, of 68 William Street, Kitty, was yesterday denied bail after appearing before acting Chief Magistrate Priya Beharry,Utah Jazz Jerseys, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.It was alleged that on August 23,Kelly Olynyk Jersey, last, the defendant unlawfully and maliciously wounded Mark Blackman.Knights, who was unrepresented, pleaded not guilty to the charge and made an application for bail.Police Prosecutor Stephen Telford in his objection to bail,Cheap MLB Pro Shop, stated that the defendant inflicted grievous bodily harm to the virtual complainant and bail should be refused. He requested that an early date be set for trial.Knights told the court that the defendant’s daughter and him shared a relationship. He indicated that they had an altercation. Subsequently the defendant went to his place of abode and inflicted several cuts to his face, using a razor blade.However,Jeff Hornacek Jersey, the Magistrate refused bail and the defendant is scheduled to make her next court appearance on October 6. This has been Knights third appearance before the Courts to answer charges for the same offence.Also appearing before Magistrate Beharry was Stanley Sumner of 130 Carmichael Street, South Ruimveldt, who was charged with armed robbery.It is alleged that on September 28,Alexander Isak Jersey, Sumner robbed Gaytri Singh of one cell phone valued $40,000.The defendant, who was unrepresented, pleaded not guilty.Prosecutor Telford objected to bail on the grounds of the evidence against the defendant. Telford told the court that on the day in questioning,Adrian Dantley Jersey, Sumner accused approached Singh, pointed a gun at her and took the phone away.Ranks of the Guyana Police Force arrested him and discovered that the weapon used in the robbery was is a toy gun.Sumner was remanded to prison and is scheduled to make another court appearance on October 8. |
