The non-governmental organisation, Family Awareness Consciousness Togetherness, (FACT), of West Road, Springlands, Corriverton, has once again received a shot in the arm to execute its mandate in the interest of community development. Anna Jaundoo, Head of FACT, collects one of seven keyboards from Food for the Poor representative, Andrea Benjamin. On Thursday, FACT was handed seven fully loaded computers by the Food for the Poor Guyana Inc. to further assist the organisation with its programme to teach information technology to orphans and vulnerable children in the area. The group aims to assist people who are affected and infected with HIV/AIDS,Nuova Maglia Roma 2018/19, orphans and vulnerable children. It offers Community Home and palliative care as well as prevention for various groups and has catered to persons numbering in the thousands over its eight years of existence. The group and Food for the Poor have been in collaboration with the FACT since its inception on June 20, 2000. Anna Jaundoo, who heads the group, received the computers from Andrea Benjamin of Food for the Poor.She said that the computers will be used to assist with teaching computer literacy and to assist the youngsters with their school-based assignments free of charge in an effort to ease the financial strain on their guardians.
