Scotiabank Guyana’s Central Retail Collection Unit (CRCU) recently donated US$1500 ($300,000) to the Ruimveldt Children’s Aid Centre (RCAC) under the bank’s vibrant Community Programme, formerly known as theScotiabank CRCU staff,Cheap Shoes Nz, Candacy Nixon presents the cheque to Jessica Hatfield, Patron of the RCAC in the presence of the Scotiabank CRCU Team‘Bright Future Committee.’It was announced that the donation will go towards the RCAC’s nutrition outreach which caters for more than 60 children on a daily basis. The monies provided are as a result of the individual and group staff endeavours, volunteering personal time and contributions, further to which the bank as a whole will donate from its coffers.The gathering was told that Scotiabank International continues to endorse its commitment to communities in which it operates, and encourages its staff globally to similarly commit to community and charitable services, through its global altruistic ‘Scotiabank Community Programme’ that brings together, under one banner, all of the Bank’s charitable, social and community efforts and employee volunteer activities.“Investing in communities has been a focus of the bank for over 180 years and its goal has always been to help create a better life for people in the societies they serve,” the CRCU representatives added.The RCAC is financed mainly by donations from companies and individuals and appeals for contributions in either cash or kind.
