A 21-year-old former police constable is likely to be charged today for the murder of taxi driver Raphael Campbell, who was shot in the head and dumped at Liliendaal,Carmelo Anthony Team USA Jersey, on the East Coast of Demerara.The suspect,Chris Paul Team USA Jersey, of Thomas Street, Kitty, was detained last Friday, and the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has advised that he be charged. It is alleged that the ex-cop escaped, while five passengers were captured. Campbell reportedly took the passengers to the East Coast of Demerara, where he was slain.According to police, on Friday, January 3, Bishop, Collins and four other youths were stopped at a roadblock on the Soesdyke/Linden highway while they were in a black Toyota Premio that was stolen from the murdered driver.Bishop, Collins and three others were apprehended, while a sixth individual had escaped.Suspects in Pegasus driver鈥檚 murderMeanwhile, police are said to be still trying to locate a young couple who were seen entering the car of Pegasus Taxi Service driver, Rudrinauth Jeeboo,Nikola Vucevic Magic Jersey, whose body was found in Caneview Avenue, South Ruimveldt on December 28.Surveillance tapes from the Pegasus Hotel show a man, followed by a woman,Vince Carter Magic Jersey, entering Jeeboo鈥檚 car hours before he was found dead.
