He later tried to escape with the pilfered cash but was caught by public spirited persons.“Dem man proppa beat me bad” he said, while stating that he was wrongfully accused.He was later handed over to the police and after investigations were conducted, he was charged with the offence.Magistrate Annette Singh refused the defendant bail and the matter was adjourned to May 9.
