The women denied that on November 5, at Parker Street, Providence, East Bank Demerara, they stole a motorcar, a DVD player, an amplifier, a laptop along with other items– carrying a total value of $1.650, 000. The articles belong to Raymond Nandlall.Mentore and Isaacs pleaded not guilty to the charge after it was read to them by Magistrate Leron Daly yesterday. They were ordered to post bail in the sum of $300,000 each and instructed to return to court on November 25,Rafael Marquez Mexico Jersey, for statements.Attorney Leslie Sobers represented both defendants and asked that they be released on bail. The Attorney told the court that the offence is bailable and that the allegation against his clients is false.Sobers explained that Mentore and the complainant share a relationship and that she would normally use the vehicle to go out. He stated that on the day in question, the complainant became fearful of Mentore returning the car because she had no driver’s licence. Sobers added that the complainant told his client to take the car to her cousin’s (Isaacs) residence.The Attorney noted that strange enough, a report was made at the station alleging that the women stole the articles. He also noted that the articles listed in the charge, were in the car at the time it was supposedly stolen.However,Emir Kujovic Sweden Jersey, Police Prosecutor,Pa Konate Sweden Jersey, Inspector Michael Grant, in relating the facts of the matter told the court that on the date in question, Mentore had invited her cousin over to the man’s home.
