He noted that an investigation must be launched into why that occurred.He also said that if the senior doctors knew that they would not have been at the hospital they should have made contact with the consultants.According to Dr. Ramsammy,Juan Carlos Valenzuela Mexico Jersey, the problem is being feverishly rectified and would not reoccur.The report into Tricia Winth’s death found that she was left with hospital interns while a nurse was the one administering drugs.The Regional Health Officer, Pansy Armstrong, had subsequently sought to ascertain why the patient was left with two unsupervised interns and why had a nurse been the one deciding what drugs had to be administered to the patient.In her report, Armstrong also questioned why a senior doctor wasn’t at the Linden Hospital Complex at the time.The report also asked why the hospital’s Chief Medical Officer is never around.The investigating team consisted of the Regional Health Officer,Carlos Sanchez Uruguay Jersey, Deputy Regional Executive Officer, the Hospital’s Matron and a Retired Public Health Nurse.Statements were taken from the husband of the deceased,Matias Vecino Uruguay Jersey, Euibio Winth,Paul Aguilar Mexico Jersey, the night supervisor at the hospital,Jorge Torres Nilo Mexico Jersey, the medical superintendent and various nurses on shift at the time of the woman’s death.The patient died while arrangements were being made for her to be transferred to the Georgetown Hospital.
