Investigations into the suspected boat accident that resulted in the deaths of Jainarine Dinanauth and Henry Gibson and the disappearance of Ricky Jainarine appeared to have stalled. Kaieteur News understands that while there are reports and in some cases evidence of foul play, detectives appear to be no closer to linking the men’s deaths to anyone.On August 11, the bodies of Dinanauth and Gibson were found in a badly damaged vessel which was found floating near the coast of Hog Island. Markings on their damaged boat showed that it was struck by a green boat, similar to the one used by the GDF Coast Guard. Incidentally three ranks from the Guyana Defence Force Coast Guard appeared in a West Demerara court on Monday charged with the murder of Dweive Kant Ramdass whose body was found floating also in the Essequibo River.This led to much speculation of a possible link to the Hog Island incident.When Kaieteur News examined the Coast Guard boat it was observed that is was freshly painted at the front to possibly conceal the damage sustained as a result of an accident.  However,wholesale jerseys, the paint job was hurriedly done since the original colour differed from the new paint.There was also scratch marks on the outside of the boat which indicated that the boat might have been recently involved in an accident.Some ‘regulars’ at the Parika Ferry Stelling indicated that following the Hog Island incident, the GDF Coast Guard vessel was not seen for three days. Information reaching this newspaper stated that the speed boat captain had called the ranks and told them about Ramdass who was traveling to Bartica with $17M in cash in a box. It is believed that acting on this information, the Coast Guard ranks were able to identify Ramdass after intercepting the boat he was in on the Essequibo River.A source close to the investigation told Kaieteur News that the detainee was questioned but is maintaining that he was never involved in the operation.
