Over 200 children will attend the Guyana Police Force’s Annual Youth Camp which is being held in collaboration with the Guyana Police Wives’ Association, between Monday August 6 and Saturday August 11, at the Rosignol Primary School,Mohamed Sanu Sr Falcons Jersey UK, West Coast Berbice.The children, between the ages of eight and 14 years old, selected from among youths involved in the Force’s Youth Clubs and Scout Groups,Jerome Bettis Steelers Jersey UK, will be participating in the much anticipated Camp, which is being conducted under the theme “Empowering Young Minds for the next Generation”.Participants at the last camp doing their morning exercisesThe Camp will be managed by Assistant Commissioner Carol Lewis-Primo, who will be assisted by other police ranks, members of the Police Wives’ Association and a number of civilians who have volunteered their services.During the period,Tom Brady Patriots Jersey UK, the campers will be involved in craft-work,Austin Hooper Falcons Jersey UK, educational talks,Davante Adams Packers Jersey UK, road safety,Sean Davis Steelers Jersey UK, religious teaching, information technology, games and an exhibition to showcase their skills learnt,LaDarius Gunter Packers Jersey UK, among other activities.The first Police Youth Camp was held at Camp Seweyo,Artie Burns Steelers Jersey UK, Soesdyke/Linden Highway,Chris Hogan Patriots Jersey UK, in 1991.Last year’s camp was at the Linden Foundation Secondary School in Amelia’s Ward, Linden. |
