The key to unlocking Guyana’s potential is an economic policy which places the private sector at its centre to be the engine of growth. He feels also that the oversight by civil society of projects was a necessity. Murray questioned whether Guyana’s populace and politicians were mature enough to judge policies on the basis of their merits and the quality of governance rather than along ethnic lines. He stated that what is required is political renewal which only the Guyanese masses can provide.
