John Beaton, 50, of Lot 55 Albouys Street,Ronnie Lott Raiders Jersey, Albouystown, was yesterday sentenced to prison after he pleaded guilty to being in possession of 7 grams of cannabis.Beaton was placed before Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan to answer to two charges,Willie Roaf Saints Jersey, the particulars of which stated that on August 10, at Albouys Street, Albouystown,Roger Craig 49ers Jersey, he had in his possession 7 grams of cannabis.The defendant however, pleaded not guilty to the second charge which stated that he had ¼ gram of cocaine in his possession.According to Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones,Derrick Thomas Chiefs Jersey, on the day in question,Daryl Johnston Cowboys Jersey, police were conducting raids throughout the city for illegal drugs and ammunition. Beaton was arrested and taken to the Criminal Investigation Department at Eve Leary where the cannabis was weighed in his presence and amounted to 7 grams.
